Joseph J Marrone Jr, 54, entered into heaven on June 22, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
We respectfully request that no one arrive at the funeral home prior to the posted visitation times, so as not to intrude on the family’s private time.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Tuesday, July 1st, from 2:00PM-6:00PM. Joseph’s cremation at Rosehill Crematory will remain private.
Joseph was born on March 3rd, 1971 to parents Joseph and Vivian (Shaw) Marrone in Belleville, NJ. He grew up and lived in Elizabeth, New Jersey, and was a lifelong resident. Throughout his professional career, he worked at a few different jobs, mostly in deliveries and logistics.
Joseph was always into music. He was the lead singer and part guitarist in a local band named “Rest in Pain,” and was quite talented. Even in his younger years, Joseph was always a bit edgy, known for his style and blue Doc Martins. As he got older, he enjoyed grilling and barbequing, trying new recipes and making wonderful meals for his friends and family.
Joseph was also an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast. He would often have multiple projects going on at once, and found value in things that others might’ve discarded. He became quite the “scrap metal” collector, and would typically come home with something new to add to the collection, which he would later find a use for. Joseph was also an animal lover, and even dubbed a squirrel as a pet that he used to feed and try to befriend. Above all else, Joseph was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend.
Joseph is predeceased by his father, the Late Joseph J Marrone, Sr. He is survived by his loving mother, Vivian Marrone, his sisters Johanna Kociumbas and her husband Freddy, Danielle Marrone and her wife Chrissy, and Donna Sotelo and her husband Guido, his nephews Justin Boisselle and Giovanni Sotelo, his niece Layla Boisselle, and many other extended family and friends.
Though he may not be with us, Joseph’s light shines through the ones he’s loved, and he will forever be missed.
