Mr. Joseph Richard Dickerson, III, 59, entered the arms of the Merciful Lord on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.
We respectfully request that no one arrive at the funeral home prior to the posted visitation times, so as not to intrude on the family’s private time.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Friday, May 10th., from 10:00AM to 12:00Noon. During the visitation at 10:30AM, a prayer service and the sharing of memories will be held. The prayers of committal will precede Joseph’s burial in the family plot in Rosehill Cemetery in Linden, New Jersey.
Joseph, the son of Barbara Louise Halloway and Joseph Richard Dickerson, Jr. was born in Queens, New York City, New York. He spent a few years living in New Jersey before turning his attention to Georgia about twenty-five years ago.
Joseph was a skilled automobile mechanic working for various dealerships and auto garages in his hometown in Georgia throughout the years.
Joseph loved to travel; he was a free spirit in that regard. He would often take excursions with his extended family members visiting all kinds of destinations and experiencing great road trips to last a lifetime. Joseph was a major sports buff! He thoroughly enjoyed all sports, but truth be told, football was his favorite.
In addition to his parents, Joseph is survived by his daughter, Tamesha Coleman; his brother, Adrian Halloway; his sister, Lorella Dickerson; his nephew, Michael Halloway; his niece, Victoria Bond; his great nephews, Sammy Bond and Caleb Moore, as well as his many friends and neighbors.
Joseph was a bright shining star that has now been dimmed. His family’s hearts were broken & tears filled their eyes. May Joseph now rest in eternal peace. We know that Joseph will be deeply missed, but he will never be forgotten.
