Jose G. Castano

Private services will be held for Mr. Jose G. Castano, 76, who died Monday, December 14, 2020 in the Overlook Hospital in Summit, New Jersey.

Mr. Castano was born in Sevilla, Colombia and he came to the United States in 1999, where he decided to settle in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

While living in his home country of Colombia, Mr. Castano was employed as an accountant for various companies.

His special interests revolved around watching the game of professional soccer, especially his favorite team – Barcelona and even in today’s volatile environment, Mr. Castano enjoyed a lively discussion about politics, and he was always open to listening to everyone’s viewpoint.

Mr. Castano is survived by his son, Victor A. Castano; his daughter and son-in-law, Monica and Bob Rodriguez; his sister, Nubia Castano and his grandson, Liam.
