Janusz Bokota Obituary

Mr. Janusz Bokota, 74, died Sunday, January 30, 2022, in the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

On Saturday, February 5th. at 9:45am, family and friends are invited to gather directly at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Roman Catholic Church, Linden, where a funeral mass will be held at 10:00am.  The prayers of committal will precede Mr. Bokota’s inurnment in the family niche in St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.  The cremation in Rosehill Crematory in Linden, was private.

Mr. Bokota, the son of the late Helena Krolikowska Bokota and the late Wladyslaw Bokota was born in Laczki Kucharskie, Poland.  He came to the United States in 1994 and immediately settled in Linden, New Jersey.

Mr. Bokota worked as a carpenter for Andre Furniture in Rahway, New Jersey for ten years until he retired in 2004.

He was a very knowledgeable and inquisitive man.  Mr. Bokota loved to watch the Discovery Channel to see all the wonders of the world.  He challenged his mind constantly by playing the word game, Sudoku as well as solving intricate crossword puzzles.  In the sports field, Mr. Bokota followed international soccer and enjoyed watching boxing matches.

Predeceased by his brother, Jozef Bokota, Mr. Bokota is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Halina Lacala Bokota; his three children and their significant partners, Katarzyna Bokota and Peter Tarczynski, Bozena Bokota and Adam Trusz and Pawel Bokota; his two brothers, Wieslaw Bokota and Czeslaw Bokota and his wife, Margorzata; his sister, Maria Kedzior and her husband, Kazimier; his sister-in-law, Maria Bokota and his grandchild, Benjamin Tarczynski.

Mr. Bokota lived a simple life and was surrounded by a loving and caring family, whose hearts are now broken beyond repair.  He will be missed each and every day and Mr. Bokota will never be forgotten.
