Mrs. Weber, the daughter of the late Jane Winter Beisley and the late George Beisley, was born in Newark, New Jersey. She resided in Newark for twenty-three years prior to settling in Linden, New Jersey in 1947.
Mrs. Weber was a registered nurse at the Rahway Hospital in Rahway for sixteen years before retiring in 1984.
She was a proud member of St. Michael’s Hospital, School of Nursing in Newark. Always an active participant in her local community, Mrs. Weber was a past president, past vice-president, and current member of the Rahway Hospital Retiree’s Association. She held the position of vice-president and secretary, as well as being a member of the Senior Citizens Club of St. Theresa’s Church, Linden and Mrs. Weber definitely enjoyed her time as a member of the Grand Ladies of Linden.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward J. Weber, Sr.; her daughter, Jane Ann Febick and her grandson, Frederick E. Febick.
Mrs. Weber is survived by her son, Edward J, Weber, Jr and his wife, Jill; her daughter, Patricia Weber; her seven grandchildren, Judd Russell Weber and his wife, Kristy, Marisa Darfus, Edward J. Weber III and his wife, Trixie, Sarah Askey and her husband, Scott, Douglas Greenway and his wife, Christy and Stephanie Pelino and her husband, Vincent; her nineteen great grandchildren, Faith Weber, Kyra Darfus, Evelin Darfus, Allison Weber, Emily Lorah, Juliana Weber, Louis Weber, James Weber, Thor Askey, Orion Askey, Caius Askey, Marcus Greenway, Sylvia Greenway, Vincent Pelino and his fiancé, Kim, Anthony Pelino, Nicholas Pelino, Gianna Pelino, Frederich Febick and Mya Febick; her one great great grandchild, Landon Pelino and her other family, friends and neighbors.
Mrs. Weber was a tiny lady but definitely a force of nature who spoke her mind and was not concerned about the consequences. She was deeply religious in her devotion to praying the rosary and Mrs. Weber attended daily mass at St. Theresa’s Church. Most of all she was a living legend - the matriarch who loved and cherished every one of her family and tried her best to keep tabs on everyone’s life happenings.
Mrs. Weber, who almost made it to a century of living, loved the fact that she still was able to live in her cozy home, in the neighborhood that she treasured and keep up with her daily routine that would probably leave many of us tired before noon. Mrs. Weber is a true tribute to the old adage that when she was made, the mold was broken. She was loved beyond measure, she will be deeply missed, but Mrs. Weber will never be forgotten.
