Helen Kallai

Private funeral services will be held for Ms. Helen Kallai, 98, who died Tuesday, October 4, 2022, in the Robert wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway, New Jersey.  At the conclusion of her funeral services, her cremains will be taken to Virginia where they will be placed in the columbarium of the family attended Presbyterian church.

Helen, the daughter of the late Elizabeth Ollah Kallaii and the late Frank Kallai, was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey.  She was a lifelong resident of Linden, New Jersey until 2017, when she moved to Cranford, New Jersey.

Helen was employed as a baker for fifty years by The Quaker Oats Company in Elizabeth, New Jersey and she retired in 1987.

Helen is survived by her niece, Deborah R. Reinhart and her husband, Gregory; her nephew, Glenn Kallai; her great nephew, Glenn Kallai, Jr.; her longtime friend who always looked after her, Ann Cafaro and other family and friends. 

It was often the family joke that Helen, because she never married or had children of her own, was blessed with a stress-free life that let her attain such milestone of age.  God bless Helen!
