Germaine Constance Strauber

Ms. Germaine Constance Strauber, 90, died Monday, April 18, 2022, at AristaCare @ Delaire Nursing & Convalescent Center in Linden, New Jersey.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Wednesday, April 27^th. starting at 8:30AM.  At 9:00AM, there will be a prayer service in the funeral home, followed by the funeral mass to be offered in St. Elizabeth Roman Catholic Church in Linden at 10:00AM.  The prayers of committal will precede Ms. Strauber’s burial in the family plot in St. Gertrude’s Cemetery in Colonia, New Jersey.

Ms. Strauber, the daughter of the late Martha Czerwinski Strauber and the late Alfred Curtis Strauber, was born in Brooklyn, New York where she resided before moving to Linden, New Jersey in 1960.

Her twenty-year work career was varied and based on the different shops along Wood Avenue in Linden, where you might have seen her working at the cleaners, the movie theater, or some other store prior to her retirement over thirty years ago.

Ms. Strauber lived most of her life with her mother, Martha Strauber and she was a long-time communicant of St. Elizabeth Roman Catholic Church in Linden.  In her spare time, Ms. Strauber loved to read books of all kinds and genres, and she was an avid stamp collector.

Ms. Strauber is survived by her niece, Lorraine K. Dziuba, who looked after Ms. Strauber ‘s welfare for many years and her nephew, Michael Dziuba and his fiancé, Denise Costello.

Ms. Strauber has now been reunited with all of her family and friends who predeceased her, and we know that there was a great celebration for everyone at her homecoming.
