Mr. George E. Corrigan, 57, died suddenly on Sunday, May 23, 2021, in his family home in Linden, New Jersey.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Friday, May 28th. from 10:00AM to 10:30AM. Kindly refrain from arriving at the funeral home prior to 10:00AM, so as not to intrude on the family’s private time. From 10:30AM until 12:00 Noon, there will be continued visitation along with a series of funeral services being offered by clergy, family, and friends. We will then proceed to Rosehill Cemetery in Linden, where the prayers of committal will precede George’s burial.
George E. Corrigan, the son of the late Frances Catherine Ryan Corrigan and the late Michael Nicholas Corrigan, was born on June 4, 1963, in Newark, New Jersey. Mr. Corrigan lived in Elizabeth, New Jersey for many years before settling in Linden, New Jersey four years ago.
He started his secondary education in Essex County, New Jersey. Mr. Corrigan found his love and his trade in mechanics under the direction of Mr. Don Fregans of Fregans Automotive, in West Orange, New Jersey, where Mr. Corrigan worked for ten years. He then expanded his knowledge and his skill by working as a water technologist under the direction of Mr. Bob Campagna at AAA Mobile Wash Inc. in Roselle Park, New Jersey for the past twenty years.
Mr. Corrigan could always be found fixing engines for anyone and everyone in need, regardless of where the engine was located. In his spare time, Mr. Corrigan enjoyed watching old westerns shows and movies. He had the best time simply hanging out with his brothers in the back yard, after a long day’s work.
Mr. Corrigan was predeceased by his daughter, Tanayah Adams; his two sisters, Deborah Corrigan and Antoinette Corrigan and the mother of his children, Claire Adams.
Mr. Corrigan is survived by his daughter, Keyonnah Adams; his three brothers, Michael Corrigan and his wife, Sylvia, William Corrigan, and Joseph Corrigan; his sister, Joan Ward; his four grandchildren, Zaiden Adams, Zy’ree Allen, Takai Grimsley and Peyton Blanding and his many nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends.
