Genowefa Wojtowicz Obituary

Mrs. Genowefa T. Boron Wojtowicz, 89, died Thursday, March 24, 2022, in the John F. Kennedy Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Friday, April 1st. from 6:00-8:00PM.  On Saturday, April 2nd., at 9:45AM, everyone will start to gather directly at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Roman Catholic Church in Linden, where a funeral mass will be offered at 10:00AM.  The burial will take place in the Cmentarz parafialny in Stara Wies, Poland.

Mrs. Wojtowicz, the daughter of the late Jozefa Bober Boron and the late Josef Boron was born in Stara Wies, Poland.  She came to the United States in 1997, settling in Woodbridge, New Jersey.

In addition to Mrs. Wojtowicz’s work history in Poland, she was also employed as a line worker for Med-Apparel Services in Perth Amboy, New Jersey for ten years, earning her retirement in 2008.

Throughout her life, Mrs. Wojtowicz constantly amazed her family with her “green thumb”, as her flower and vegetable gardens were always flourishing!  She then put those vegetables to good use in her kitchen where she loved to cook and bake, especially if there were family gatherings and holiday dinners.  Mrs. Wojtowicz was a very adventurous lady and she enjoyed traveling with her family, camping, and appreciating Nature’s beauty.  She actively participated a few times in “The Walking Pilgrimage”, which was a 60-mile walking route from Ss. Peter & Paul Church in Great Meadow, New Jersey to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown, Pennsylvnia.  Mrs. Wojtowicz was known to spend her relaxation time watching a bit of television.

Predeceased by her husband Stanislaw Wojtowicz, Mrs. Wojtowicz is survived by her daughter, Danuta Kuziemski and her husband, Gregory; her son, Wladyslaw Wojtowicz and his wife, Stanislawa; her brother, Mieczyslaw Boron; her four grandchildren, Malgorzata Fintor and her husband, Rene, Christopher Wojtowicz and his wife, Anna, Piotr Kuziemski and Alexandra Kuziemski and her four great grandchildren, Olivia Fintor, Martina Wojtowicz, Natalie Wojtowicz and Emily Wojtowicz.

Her husband, Stanislaw, first came to the United States to pave the way for a better life for his family.  Mrs. Wojtowicz shortly thereafter left her home country to join him and together they began to put down new roots surrounded by their family, friends, and faith.  She was the heart of her family, and she had an abundance of love to share with everyone.  Mrs. Wojtowicz will be deeply missed, but she will never be forgotten and our mama, babcia & prababcia is the newest guardian angel for our family.
