Frederick Curtis Smith, III

Private services were held for Frederick “Ricky” Curtis Smith, III, who died Wednesday, December 30, 2020 in the Trinitas Hospital in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

Ricky, the son of the late Frances Walczyk Smith and the late Frederick Curtis Smith, Jr. was born and grew up in his hometown of Bayside, New York.  Later in his life, Ricky moved to Brooklyn, New York where he lived for many years prior to settling in Elizabeth, New Jersey a few months ago.

Ricky was a manager for The Strand, a bookstore in New York City, New York for several years until his illness forced him to retire.

Ricky is survived by his cousin, Patrick Michael Smith and his wife, Agnes S. Smith; his second cousin, Michelle Smith and numerous neighbors, friends, and co-workers.
