Mrs. Florence L. Sager Bauer, 97, entered the arms of the Lord on Saturday, June 28, 2025, surrounded by the love and care of her family.
On Wednesday July 2nd. from 10:30-10:45AM, family and friends are invited to gather directly in the parking lot of the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden At 10:45AM, we will form the traditional funeral procession to Rosedale Cemetery in Linden where the prayers of committal will be offered at the gravesite at 11:00AM, prior to Florence’s burial in her family plot.
Florence, the daughter of the late Edna Loxley Sager and the late Charles Sager, was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey. She resided in Toms River for twenty years before settling in Kenilworth to live with her daughter, Maryann, and her family in 2010.
Throughout the years, Florence and her late husband, Tom, found a little slice of heaven and a respite from the busy world in Ocean Grove, New Jersey. It was the place where they celebrated their honeymoon, and as years went by, they visited often enjoying the peacefulness of the community, the simple boardwalk with a view of the fishing pier (which Tom thoroughly loved fishing from) and strolling along the expansive lawn leading up to the Great Auditorium and the surrounding tents. When a little more action was called for, both Florence and Tom would hop in the car and head to Atlantic City. Florence, not really a gambler, always went along for the ride, knowing that sunshine, fresh air, the smell of the ocean waves and definitely a good sit-down meal or the endless buffet would fill her time and make it an enjoyable day out. However, it needs to be said that Florence’s true focus in her life was her family. Her love was endless, and she was devoted to her husband, her children and later her grandchild. They alone gave her the greatest joy and satisfaction in her life….truly Florence did not need or want anything else. She considered herself beyond blessed with her family.
Predeceased by her husband, Thomas F. Bauer in 2011 and her son, Thomas F. Bauer, Jr. in 1989, Florence is survived by her daughter, Maryann Baginski and her husband, Kenneth Baginski, Sr. and her grandson, Kenneth Baginski, Jr.
Florence’s light shone the brightest on her family and now it has been dimmed. May she find eternal peace as she reunites with the love of her life, her husband, Tom and her son, Thomas. Let us also keep her daughter, Maryann and her family in our prayers, as they have cared for and watched over Florence for the past fifteen years.
May you fly with the angels Florence and know that your presence will be deeply missed, but you will never be forgotten.
