Eugeniusz Fidziukiewicz Obituary

Mr. Eugeniusz Fidziukiewicz, 80, died Monday, January 10, 2022, in the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway, New Jersey.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Friday, January 14th. from 4:00-7:00PM.  On Saturday, January 15th. at 9:45AM, everyone will gather directly at St. Hedwig Roman Catholic Church in Elizabeth where a funeral mass will be offered at 10:00AM.  The prayers of committal will precede Mr. Fidziukiewicz’s burial in the family plot in St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, New Jersey.

Mr. Fidziukiewicz, the son of the late Wiera Wrublewska Fidziukiewicz and the late Jan Fidziukiewicz, was born in Poland.  He came to the United States in 1973 and he resided in Union, New Jersey before settling in Mountainside, New Jersey seventeen years ago.

Mr. Fidziukiewicz, although a skilled electrician, was known more for his entrepreneurial skills in the real estate and property management market for the past thirty-three years prior to his retirement in 2006.

In his younger years in Poland, Mr. Fidziukiewicz enlisted in the Polish Army for three years.  He loved the sport of soccer and he enjoyed the world of politics, whether discussing the current United States or world events and keeping up with the latest political maneuvers in the news. Mr. Fidziukiewicz’s real hobby, however, were his two grandchildren.  He would do anything for them and the greatest enjoyment Mr. Fidziukiewicz found in his life was spending time with them, doing anything that they would like to do, especially fishing.

Mr. Fidziukiewicz is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Helena Potapczyk Fidziukiewicz; his son, Tomasz Fidziukiewicz; his daughter, Agnieszka Skurka and her husband, Christopher; his two grandchildren, Christopher Skurka and Gunnar Skurka; his two brothers, Wladyslaw Fidziukiewicz and Janek Fidziukiewicz and his sister, Genia Anisko.

Mr. Fidziukiewicz was the center of life for his family, and he had an abundance of love for everyone in his circle.  He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
