Enrique Romero Obituary

Airman 1st. Class, Enrique Xavier Romero, U.S. Air Force, 21, entered the arms of the Lord on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, in Cisco, Texas.

We respectfully request that no one arrive at the funeral home prior to the posted visitation times, so as not to intrude on the family’s private time.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Tuesday, July 26th. from 6:00-9:00PM.  There will be a funeral prayer service offered in the funeral home during the visitation.  On Wednesday, July 27th. from 10:00-10:15AM, everyone will gather in the funeral home parking lot where we will form the traditional procession to the cemetery.  The prayers of committal will be offered at 12:30PM in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, New Jersey.  Enrique will be receiving full military honors at the cemetery, including the 21-gun salute, military pall bearers, the presentation of colors, the playing of taps, the folding of the flag followed by the presentation of the flag to the family.

Enrique, the son of Vanessa Marrero Romero and Diego E. Romero was born in Patterson, New Jersey.  He and his family moved to Linden, New Jersey in 2013 where Enrique lived until he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 2019.  During his military service working in the sustainment services for the Air Force, Enrique had been stationed in Alaska, Virginia, Florida and currently he was attached to Fort Dyess, Texas Air Force Base.

While in Linden High School he played football as a wide receiver and he also participated in wrestling, a sport that he continued to do while in the Air Force.  Enrique spent many weekends watching NFL teams play, especially his fan favorite, the Seattle Seahawks.  He made sure to take in the boxing matches and the basketball games, as well.  Enrique was avid vlogger, doing video blogs about a variety of subjects including his favorite topics of video games and sneakers.  To say that he loved all kinds of dogs is an understatement. There wasn’t a furry friend that he couldn’t resist petting or wanting to take home.

Enrique is survived by his mother and father, Vanessa Marrero Romero and Diego E. Romero; his maternal grandparents, Jose Marrero and Luz Baez; his paternal grandparents, Diego Romero and Miriam Medina Romero; his sister, Destiny Romero; his brother, Jonathan Romero; his nephew, Jacob; his pet dog, Jet and his many aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.

Enrique was a kind and gentle man, beloved by all who knew him.  He was always there for his family and anyone in need.  Enrique had an abundance of love for everyone in his circle.  He will be deeply missed, but he will remain in our hearts forever.
