Mr. Eneck Leger, 67, entered the Everlasting Kingdom guided by the Lord’s Angels on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.
We respectfully request that no one arrive at the funeral home prior to the posted visitation times, so as not to intrude on the family’s private time.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Saturday, May 2nd. from 8:00AM to 10:00AM. The prayer service and a sharing of memories will begin at 8:45AM. At the conclusion of the visitation at 10:00AM, we will form the traditional procession to Evergreen Cemetery in Hillside where the prayers of committal will be offered prior to Eneck’s burial.
Eneck, the son of Antonia Jean Baptiste and Saint-Phard Leger, was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He came to the United States in 1982, immediately settling in Roselle, New Jersey where he remained until his passing.
Eneck was a man of many talents in his work career. He was active in the real estate market, showing and selling homes. A skilled electrician, he promoted that occupation by doing all sorts of jobs until his vocation led him down another path when Eneck became the owner and operator of Roselle Taxi, a local taxi and limousine service.
Throughout his life, music was the key to Eneck’s soul, and he poured his gifts into playing the saxophone. When not playing the sax, Eneck listened to “Kompa” a fusion of traditional Haitian rhythms and melodies of modern Caribbean and Latin music, which then led him to enjoy and appreciate Gospel music. As his health started to take a turn, Eneck turned those experiences into helping other when he wrote his book, “Dialysis Under Grace”. All in all, Eneck was quite a talented man.
Eneck is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Leger; his son, Joshua Leger; his two sisters, Marie LaFleur and Eunide Leger, who provided Eneck with loving care and a cozy place to live as his health declined and Eneck’s many nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.
His loved ones will miss him dearly, but Eneck will live forever in their hearts, and they find comfort knowing he is now at peace. May Eneck have Eternal Rest.
