Devinder Khullar, age 75, died Saturday morning, June 5th, 2022 at his home with his loving Neelam by his side. Over the last several weeks, he had been surrounded by family near and far.
Born to Balakram and Lilavati Khullar on November 22, 1946, Devinder, also lovingly called Ashok, grew up in Hoshiapur, Punjab where he attended DAB college. Soon after his marriage to Neelam, he and his wife immigrated to America in 1977, where they built a life in New York and New Jersey staying close to family. He worked for Chand International and Citibank in Queens before moving to Atlantic City where he worked at Jean's & Things on the boardwalk.
Ashok was devoted to his wife, parents, siblings, nephews, and nieces. His smile and laughter would light up a room and was always at the ready for his loved ones whenever needed. He enjoyed watching sports, especially cricket and baseball, keeping up with the news, and had a love for playing blackjack and three card poker.
Ashok is survived by his wife Neelam, brother Bharat, and sisters Chand, Nirmala, and Saroj. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden, NJ, 07036, on Monday June 6th, 2022 from 12:00PM to 2:00PM. A procession will travel to Rosehill Crematory, where the cremation will take place at approximately 2:30PM.
