Dawn Beviano Obituary

Mrs. Dawn M. Victor Beviano, 53, left our earthly world on Thursday, March 30, 2023, but not before gifting life to others via the Sharing Network for organ donation.

We respectfully request that no one arrive at the funeral home prior to the posted visitation times, so as not to intrude on the family’s private time.

All services will take place after the Easter religious holidays.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Monday, April 10th. from 3:00-7:00PM.  On Tuesday, April 11th. at 9:45AM, everyone will gather directly at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, Linden where a funeral mass will be offered at 10:00AM.  The prayers of committal will precede Dawn’s burial in the family plot in St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.

Please omit flowers!  Donations to the family would be appreciated and can be made via the gofundme account at http://www.gofundme.com/f/dawn-victor beviano

Dawn, the daughter of the late Mary Kuhlmann Victor and the late Glen Victor, was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey.  She grew up, attended school, and lived in both the local cities of Linden and Roselle.

Dawn had worked as a teacher’s aide in SunnyKidz in Linden from 2004 until 2015.  She then transitioned to employment for the city of Linden in our public library as a librarian assistant beginning in 2016 to the current day.  Dawn was well known in the library community for her kindness and generosity in helping, in so many ways, those who walked through the library doors.  Her smile of greeting made everyone feel right at home.

Dawn was constantly a great representative for Linden as she loved her town and offered her services, in many formats to the people of Linden.  She was the president of the “Friends of the Linden Library” since 2015.  Her concern for her neighbors and their homes served her well as the 9th. and 10th. ward liaison starting in 2012.  Dawn previously had been a member of the Linden Board of Education, endlessly working for the kids and their parents, from 2007 until 2020.  The weekends would find Dawn again with the children teaching Sunday school at St. Elizabeth Church, an activity she enjoyed doing from 2005 to 2020, as well as, being a 4H leader for many years.  Dawn received many accolades throughout her life, among them she was chosen as the Linden 2017 “Person of the Year” and in 2021 she was presented an award from the Boy Scouts of America for her outstanding community involvement.  In her spare time, Dawn’s hobbies were similarly quite extensive.  She loved to travel, and she had visited the 48 contiguous states.  Research and genealogy, a very time-consuming project, led her to numerous amazing discoveries.  Not very surprising is that Dawn was a voracious reader who leaned toward the fiction and romance genres.  Her heart of gold was on display when she adopted her rescue dog “Enzo” that she loved snuggling with.  Dawn’s talents were also exemplified in the baking field as Dawn was known for many of her famous delicacies, but particularly the family cannoli!  Even with all of this, the most important qualities of Dawn’s character was her love for her family, her community and her church.  Spending time with her husband and her two daughters was tantamount in the joy and love they all brought into her life.  There was nothing more important to Dawn than her family!

Predeceased by her sister, Lori Cassano in 2022, Dawn is survived by her husband of twenty-six years, Todd Beviano and her two daughters, Christina Beviano and Jaclyn Beviano.

Dawn truly was the brilliant light in the center of life for her family.  Our hearts are broken beyond repair and our tears seem to never stop.  Our Dawn was one in a million and her light will continue to shine in our hearts.  Even though Dawn will be deeply missed, we know that she will never be forgotten.
