Mrs. Darlene C. Brogan, 64, died unexpectedly Saturday, November 20, 2021, at her home.
Darlene, the daughter of the late Rose Adom Zyracki and the late Stanley Zyracki, was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey. She resided in Montague, New Jersey for fourteen years, before settling in Hopatcong, New Jersey five years ago.
Darlene worked as a waitress for eighteen years for various restaurants and unfortunately her career was curtailed by a disability twenty-four years ago.
She was very creative and artistic, and Darlene loved interior design. In her spare time, she would watch the cooking shows, but Darlene thoroughly enjoyed any of the design shows on HGTV, like The Property Brothers, Fixer Upper or Home Town.
Her husband, John, wants everyone to know that Darlene was a very loving and caring person. She had a great affinity for both cats and dogs. Darlene would go out of her way to go around town and gets the stray animals off the streets and make sure they were safe and cared for.
Darlene loved her nieces and nephew, and she also had a wide circle of friends. Most of all, the love she shared with her husband was just so great. Both Darlene and her husband, John, felt that the Lord, Jesus Christ, filled both their hearts with a love for each other that was overflowing. John will always love her.
Predeceased also by her sister, Linda Cook, Darlene is survived by her husband, John C. Brogan; her brother, Ronny Cook, other relatives, friends and neighbors.
Darlene will be greatly missed, but she will always be remembered and loved.
With respect to Darlene’s wishes, her funeral services were private.
