Mr. Darjusz “Darek” Paszkowski, 57, was escorted into the heavenly kingdom of the Lord by His choir of angels on Thursday, January 30, 2025, after a brief but devastating illness.
We respectfully request that no one arrive at the funeral home prior to the posted visitation times, so as not to intrude on the family’s private time.
Family and friends are invited to the memorial visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Tuesday, February 4th. from 6:00-8:00PM during which a prayer service will be offered at approximately 7:00PM . His cremation in Rosehill Crematory in Linden was privately held and at a future date, Darjusz’s cremated remains will be taken to Poland to be buried in the family plot.
Darjusz was born and raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey where he was a lifelong resident. A skilled carpenter by trade, Darjusz worked for over twenty-five years for Creative Interiors Woodworking, LLC in Linden creating masterfully crafted kitchen cabinets and furniture. Even in his spare time, Darjusz could be found making beautiful wood furnishings for family and friends. His craft was a personal expression of his art, so Darjusz never considered his profession simply “working a job”. He was a huge, long time Dallas Cowboys NFL fan and Darjusz made sure to watch all the games, whether it was a part of “Monday Night Football” or those televised on the weekends. Since childhood, when he had two parakeets, Darjusz seemed to have a way with the tiny birds, and he loved talking to them and get them to cirp in response. Darjusz was one to forever thoroughly enjoy the daily news reports, devouring anything that had to do with politics and considered Trump the man.
Predeceased by his father, Ryszard Paszkowski in 2002, Darjusz is survived by his wife of thirty-one years Dorota Deresz Paszkowska; his mother, Romualda Dombrowska Paszkowska; his many neighbors, co-workers and friends.
Darjusz was a shing light in this world…..a light that has been dimmed way too soon. Let us keep Darjusz and everyone in his inner circle surrounded with our love, our thoughts and our prayers. He will be deeply missed, but Darjusz will never be forgotten. May Darjusz now rest in Eternal Peace.
