Mr. Cosme Danie “Trixie” Irizarry, 75, died Saturday, January 8, 2022, in The Canterbury at Cedar Grove Care & Rehabilitation Center in Cedar Grove, New Jersey.
Cosme Daniel "Trixie" Irizarry was born in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico on February 19th, 1946. He moved to Perth Amboy, New Jersey when he was 8 years old and remained a lifelong resident until he entered the nursing home in Cedar Grove 4 years ago.
Cosme touched so many lives throughout his life and he was a kind and giving soul. He was a man who helped many people in any way he could. He was known to many people by different nicknames including Danny, Pucho and Trixie and Cosme was often seen at the local bars on karaoke nights performing Elvis songs.
He was predeceased by his mother, Victoria (nee Irizarry) Marrero; his stepfather, Santos Marrero and his father, Cosme Martinez.
Cosme leaves behind his four beloved children, Victoria Ann Irizarry Romanienko and her husband Peter of Woodbridge NJ, Michele Lee Gavron and her husband Christopher of South Amboy NJ, Kelly Lynn Irizarry and her boyfriend Joe Capuano of Lakewood Ranch FL and Daniel Anthony Irizarry of Barnegat NJ; his six adored grandchildren, Kimberly Gavron, Samantha Gavron, CJ Gavron, Preston Romanienko, John Daniel Irizarry and Ava Marie Irizarry and his two cherished great grandchildren, Brayden and Jai Julian. Cosme also leaves behind the broken hearts of his treasured sibling – his brother, Charles "Chuck" Marrero and his wife Kathy of Superior CO, and his sister Dr. Santalynda Marrero and her partner Rayland King of Temecula, CA.; his caring nieces and nephews, Aleta D"Amato, Alanna Fiehl, Kate Patterson, Sean Marerro and James Marrero-Johnson; several grand nieces and nephews, numerous cousin, friends, neighbors and other loved ones.
Additionally, Cosme held regards for, and maintained good friendships with, his former spouse Marijane (nee Huff) Rios and her husband Juan of North Brunswick, as well as his former spouse Mary Silvernail and her husband Earl.

The wake and funeral of Cosme Daniel "Trixie" Irizarry will take place, on a date yet to be announced, in the spring.
