Mrs. Bronislawa Klos Budzik, having reached the milestone of a life covering a century, entered the arms of the Lord on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, less than a month after celebrating in high style her 100th. birthday.
Bronislawa, the daughter of the late Balbina and Mateusz Klos was born in Boleslaw, Poland. She arrived in the United States in 1969 and lived in Queens, New York City, New York and Asbury Park, New Jersey before settling in Somerset, New Jersey in 2020.
After arriving in the United States, Bronislawa went to work in the accounting department of the Bulova Watch Company in Queens, New York where she had a twenty-year long career before retiring in 1989.
In her free time, Bronislawa maintained an active lifestyle which included bowling well into her 95th. year. She loved to read and be outdoors, walking for miles and miles, simply enjoying the beautiful bounties of scenery that Mother Nature displays for us every day.
Predeceased by her husband, Zbigniew Budzik in 1982 and her grandson, Tomasz Jacek Babyn in 2014, Bronislawa is survived by her two daughters, Teresa Babyn and Barbara Raczkowska (with whom Bronislawa lived) and her husband, Waldemar J. Zielinski; her son, Wieslaw Budzik and his wife, Krystyna; her five grandchildren, Gregorz Babyn, Marek K. Raczkowski, Marcin Budzik, Anna Budzik Seweryn and Izabela Budzik; her six great grandchildren and her one great-great grandchild.
In her Polish culture and tradition, when Bronislawa celebrated her birthday each year, voices were united in singing “Sto Lat”, to wish Bronislawa a long life, good health and good wishes. This song sung on September 23, 2024, was for the greatest of all her earthly celebrations – her 100th. birthday!
We recognize that her life on earth has ended, but guided by our Catholic faith, we know that for Bronislawa, the best is yet to come.
In accordance with the family’s wishes, all the services for Bronislawa were private.
