Bernadette Marczak Obituary

Private funeral services will be held for Mrs. Bernadette Turon Marczak, 67, who died suddenly on Saturday, September 19, 2020 in the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway, New Jersey.

Donations in Bernadette's memory can be made to the St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 122 Liberty Avenue, Linden, New Jersey 07036

Bernadette, the daughter of the late Zofia Majcher Turon and the late Jozef Turon, was born in Domaradz, Poland.  She came to the United States in 1974 and she settled in Linden, New Jersey in 1979.

Bernadette was employed as a porter, originally for Schering-Plough Corporation in Kenilworth, New Jersey, which was later was acquired by Merck & Company, for nineteen years before her retirement in 2015.

Her love and devotion for her family & her church, St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Roman Catholic Church in Linden, New Jersey, embodied her life.  In her spare time, Bernadette was an amazing and proficient baker and she apparently also had a green thumb when it came to growing and nurturing house plants.

Bernadette is survived by her husband of forty-three years, Henry J. Marczak; her son, John P. Marczak; her daughter, Catherine E. Bennett and her husband, Jason and her brother, Anton Turon.

As per the regulations imposed through the State of New Jersey, there will now be a maximum of one hundred (100) people allowed in the funeral home at one time.  Face protection is also required as per state regulations.  We thank you for your understanding during this time of transition.
