Mr. Armando Wilson Torres Abbud, 79, died Saturday, June 5, 2021, in the Overlook Medical Center in Summit, New Jersey
Visitation is on Thursday, June 10th. from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden. On Friday, June 11th., family and friends will meet directly at St. Joseph the Carpenter Roman Catholic Church, Roselle, where a funeral mass will be offered at 10:00AM. The prayers of committal will precede Mr. Torres Abbud’s entombment in the family crypt in St. Gertrude’s Cemetery in Colonia, New Jersey.
Mr. Torres Abbud, the son of the late Gloria Ruth Abbud and the late Victor Hugo Torres, was born in Santa Rosa, Ecuador. He came to the United States in 1987 and he resided in Irvington, New Jersey until 2016, when he relocated to Roselle, New Jersey.
Mr. Torres Abbud was a diesel mechanic for Big Top Contractors in Avenel for many years prior to his retirement in 2010.
Predeceased by his sister, Alexandra Morin, Mr. Torres Abbud is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Maria Esperanza Cabezas de Torres; his eight children, Armando A. Torres and his wife, Iliana, Sister Ruth E. Torres, Wilson A. Torres and his wife, Normanda, Hugo C. Torres, Shirley L. Torres de Burbano and her husband, Vincente, Patricia D. Torres de Farez and her husband, Pablo, Felipe M. Torres and his wife, Edith and Elizabeth D. Torres de Palacios and her husband, Erik; his ten brothers and sisters, Aurora Rojas, Miguel Rojas and his wife, Patricia, Felipe Cabezas and his wife, Concepcion, Sonnya Cabezas, Richard Cabezas and his wife, Giannina, Francia Cabezas-Klein and her husband, Lee, Washington Torres and his wife, Guadalupe, Gladys Torres, Carlos Torres and Nelly Torres; his eighteen grandchildren, Juan, Maria, Julissa, Kevin, Christopher, Ashley, Michael, Esperanza, Haley, Vincent, Nathan, Mia, Lilibeth, Thiago, Clara, Lindsay, Ariana and Emily and his five great grandchildren, Dimar, Alhi, Benjamin, Andrea and Dulce.
