Anna May (Hauss) VanPelt

Mrs. Anna May Hauss VanPelt, 102, died Tuesday, February 4, 2020 in the home of her daughter, surrounded by the love of her family.

On Tuesday, February 18^th. at 10:45AM, family and friends will meet directly at St. John the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Linden, where a memorial funeral mass will be offered at 11:00AM.  The prayers of committal will precede the inurnment of her cremains in the family crypt in St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, New Jersey.

Mrs. VanPelt, the daughter of the late Anna Benbrook Hauss and the late Peter Hauss, was born and raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey.  She resided there for ninety-seven years before moving five years ago to live with her daughter in Dallas, Georgia.

Mrs. VanPelt had a wonderful life and she made sure to enjoy every minute of it, by always spending time with the loves of her life; her family.  In addition to her family, Mrs. VanPelt was devoted to her religion and attending her church.

She was predeceased by her husband of sixty-four years, Francis J. VanPelt (2003); her three sisters, June, Edna and Marjorie and her brother, Harold.

Mrs. VanPelt is survived by her two daughters, Frances Samsel and Joanne Spirek; her sister, Naomi; her six grandchildren, Patricia, William, Jacqueline, Michael, Shannon and April; her six great grandchildren, Michelle, Jillian, Megan, Samuel, Victoria and Raina; her three great great grandchildren, Michael, Rylie and Chloe and her many nieces, nephews and great nieces.
