Anna Pertowski Obituary

 

Mrs. Anna Redziniak Pertowski, 85, died Friday, March 6, 2020 in the Frederick Heath Hospital in Frederick, Maryland.

On Friday, March 20th. at 9:45AM, family and friends will gather directly at the St. Adalbert Roman Catholic Church in Elizabeth, New Jersey where a funeral mass will be offered at 10:00AM.  The prayers of committal will precede her burial in the family plot in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Linden, New Jersey.

Mrs. Pertowski, the daughter of the late Catherine Leszczak Redziniak and the late Peter Redziniak, was born and raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey.  She resided in West Caldwell, New Jersey from 1965 to 2011 and she later settled in Frederick, Maryland in 2013.

Mrs. Pertowski attended St. Adalbert Roman Catholic Church in Elizabeth, New Jersey from her birth through her young adulthood.  She later was a parishioner of the Notre Dame Church in North Caldwell, New Jersey for many years.

Mrs. Pertowski enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles.  She loved the experience of trying new cooking recipes for all the family events and some of her more successful endeavors became family favorites.

While she hated to drive, Mrs. Pertowski loved to travel and did so extensively throughout Europe and the United States, along with her husband, Ted.

She also loved to cruise and one of her most exciting experiences was her trip to South America,

Above all, Mrs. Pertowski enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren, in all ways possible, but especially by shopping for them and taking them on mini vacations.

Always a loving wife and companion, Mrs. Pertowski also became a devoted caregiver to her husband, Ted, who became disabled later in his life.

Mrs. Pertowski is survived by her husband of sixty-three years, Thaddeus “Ted” Pertowski; her two daughters, Carol A. Pertowski and Nancy Buschman and her husband, Douglas; her four grandchildren, Timothy Buschman and his wife, Sarah Henrickson, Matthew Buschman and his wife, Heather, Kathryn Vasel and her husband, Kevin and Stephen Buschman; her five great grandchildren, Ryan, Avery, Madelyn, Benjamin and Abigail; her sister, Genevieve “Jean” Grygutis and her five nieces and nephews, Albert Pertowski, Frank Pertowski and his partner, Anita, Mary Lou Mahoney and her husband, James, Karen Bertram and her husband, Walter and Ellen Harrold and her husband, Jeff.
