Andrew Stanislowski Obituary

Andrew W. Stanislowski, 77, of Woodbridge, NJ, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2024 at JFK Hospital in Edison.

We respectfully request that no one arrive at the funeral home prior to the posted visitation times, so as not to intrude on the family’s private time.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Friday, October 18th,2024 from 3:00-7:00PM and on Saturday, October 19th,2024, from 8:00-8:30AM where final visitation and farewells will be shared before traveling in procession to Hungarian Reformed Church, 94 N James Street, Woodbridge, NJ, 07095. Mass will begin at approximately 10:00AM, followed by a procession to Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Linden, NJ, for the prayers of committal, military honors and entombment ceremony.

Andrew was born on June 15, 1947, to parents Anton and Helen (Henyecz) Stanislowski in Rahway, NJ. Andrew was affectionately known through the years as “Andy,” and spent most of his life in the Woodbridge area. He served in the United States Military during Vietnam as a proud member of the Army. Upon his return, he worked as a forklift operator for many years for Emerson Quiet Kool in Carteret. Andy married the love of his life Janice Kuban on June 12, 1971, and they built their life together. Through the years, Andy held other jobs within retail before retiring to spend time with his loving wife and other family members.

Andy was an avid coin collector, known for always checking dates on coins and adding to his collection. In his earlier years, he enjoyed bowling with friends and as a part of a few leagues. He liked to watch most sports, including wrestling, which he was a big fan of. Gameshows were also part of his TV regiment, such as “Let’s Make a Deal.” He was a member of the local VFW, Post 7164, in Avenel. Andy would occasionally make trips to Atlantic City with Janice to spend time and gamble a bit, admittingly not being terribly lucky at the casinos. Above all else, Andy was an amazing husband, relative, neighbor, and friend, and he will be greatly missed and never be forgotten.

Andrew is predeceased by his parents Anton and Helen (Henyecz) Stanislowski. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Janice (Kuban) Stanislowski and her siblings Carol Schneider, Joseph Kuban and wife Elizabeth, and Michael Kuban and wife Cynthia, his cousin Florette Pastor and her husband Richard, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family and friends.

Although Andrew is no longer with us in our presence, we know he is with us in spirit and in love, and we have the faith and hope that we will see him again in our eternal place of peace. May he rest easy now, and forever watch over us all.
