Mrs. Theresa J. Gergich Palay, 85, died Wednesday, August 14, 2019 in her home, surrounded by the love & prayers of her family.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Sunday, August 18th. from 2:00-6:00PM. On Monday, August 19th., from 8:30-9:00AM everyone will gather in the funeral home where a prayer service will be held at 9:00AM, followed by the funeral mass to be offered in the St. Theresa of the Child Jesus R.C. Church, Linden at 10:00AM. The prayers of committal will precede her burial in the family plot in St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, New Jersey.

Mrs. Palay, the only daughter of the late Mary Rose Pavlock Gergich and the late George Gergich, was born in the family home in Linden, New Jersey; a home that she has resided in her entire life.
Mrs. Palay was a member of the St. Theresa Parent & Teachers Association and the Tremley Point Senior Citizens Club, both in Linden, New Jersey.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Palay was also predeceased by her husband, Michael Palay (12/16/2013); her son, Michael Palay Jr. (11/28/2009); her daughter-in-law, Joan Noon Palay (12/18/2018) and her six brothers, Frank Gergich, Walter “Skinny” Gergich, Edwin Gergich, Julian Gergich, Charles Gergich and Thomas Gergich.
Mrs. Palay is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Therese and Albert Teglash; her grandson, Michael Palay; her sister-in-law, Cora Gergich; her kind hearted caregiver, Teresa Boreska; her many loving cousins, nieces and nephews and her supportive friends and neighbors.
