Mrs. Regina Godlewska Pehler, 88, died Thursday, May 16, 2019 in the Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Wednesday, May 22nd. from 6:00-8:00PM. On Thursday, May 23rd. at 9:45AM everyone will gather directly at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus R.C. Church in Linden, where a funeral mass will be offered at 10:00AM. The prayers of committal will precede her burial in the family plot in St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, New Jersey.
Mrs. Pehler, the daughter of the late Bronislawa Mierczkowska Godlewska and the late Julian Godlewski, was born in Kosowka, Poland. She came to the United States about forty years ago and resided in the Linden and Marlboro, New Jersey areas before settling in Manalapan eleven years ago.
Mrs. Pehler loved gardening and planting flowers and over the years, people would often stop by to admire her beautiful gardens. She was a very religious lady, always offering prayers for the benefit of her family and friends and she was also known for her love of singing.
Mrs. Pehler is survived by her husband of twenty-one years, Ronald Pehler; her two sons, Stanislaw Poniatowski and Kazimierz Poniatowski; her two sisters, Janina Nowicki and Helena Jakubowski; her brother, Henryk Godlewski and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
