Ms. Maria Radakova, 47, died unexpectedly on Sunday, October 20, 2019 in her home.
With respect to Maria’s wishes, she was privately cremated at Rosehill Crematory in Linden, New Jersey. On Wednesday, October 30th. at 6:45PM, family and friends are asked to gather directly at Holy Family R.C. Church, 210 Monroe Street, Linden where a bi-lingual memorial mass will be offered at 7:00PM. The interment of Maria’s cremains in the family plot in the Slovak Republic, will take place at a future date.
Maria, the daughter of Jolana Nagyova Radakova and Andrej Radak, was born in Kosice in the Slovak Republic. Living there for thirty-one years, Maria’s academic achievements include earning her Masters in 2001 as an Engineer of Economics, specializing in the economy, management, accounting & tourism. Maria then decided to come to the United States in 2003, where she settled in South Amboy, New Jersey.
Maria has been employed by the Archdiocese of Newark in their finance department for the past five years. Prior to that, from March 28, 2011 to 2014, she was working at Our Lady Help of Christians Church in East Orange, New Jersey. Maria also had worked extensively from August 1990 to November 1999 for Kimex, a foreign trade company. She began as a commercial assistant, worked her way to be a manager assistant, manager for transport & logistics with export & import commercial experience, finance & justice experience.
Maria has also been the organist at Holy Family R.C. Church in Linden, New Jersey since 2007 and is very well known among the Slovak Church family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Maria is survived by three sisters, Andrea Juhasova, Jolana Radakova and Katarina Radakova; her niece, Dominika Sujova and her two nephews, Jakub Juhas & Marian Juhas.
