Francis J Nicholas

Mr. Francis J. Nicholas, 80, died Sunday, September 15, 2019 in his home, surrounded by the love of his family.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation to be held in the Holy Family R.C. Church, 210 Monroe Street in Linden on Saturday, September 21^st. from 10:00 to 11:00AM.  At the conclusion of the visitation, Father Mariusz Luksza will celebrate the funeral mass in church at 11:00AM.  In respect of Mr. Nicholas’s wishes, he will be privately cremated in Rosehill Crematory in Linden.

Mr. Nicholas, the son of the late Margaret Dougal Nicholas and the late William Nicholas, was born in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania and he resided there before settling in Linden, New Jersey in 1964.

Mr. Nicholas was employed by the Linden Board of Education as a custodian in the School 4 Annex for twelve years, until his retirement in 2002.  Previously, he was a machine operator for American Flange Manufacturing Company, Inc. in Linden for twenty-seven years.

Mr. Nicholas also served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Predeceased by his siblings, William Nicholas, Raymond Nicholas and Margaret Uscilowicz,

Mr. Nicholas is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Jeannie T. Urbanowicz Nicholas; his daughter, Theresa M. Serio; his son-in-law, Marc Serio and his sister, Trudy Trynosky.
