Filip, the son of Anna Komorek and Waldemar Babiuk, was born in Gorzow, Poland.  He came to the United States on September 6, 2005 and lived in Linden, New Jersey before moving to Clark, New Jersey, less than a year ago.

During high school Filip worked as a lifeguard at the Woodbridge Village Apartments in Avenel, New Jersey.  He enjoyed swimming, sailing on boats skimming over the waters, dancing and snow skiing. He was a volunteer for over ten years in the traffic control division at Our Lady of Czestochowa Shrine in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, during the Pilgrimage, as well as, during the Polish American Festival.  The core group of friends he worked with were very important to him.  In fact, Filip was funny, hilarious, with one of a kind humor and he always tried to make everyone feel loved and special.

Filip was a self-taught man, in everything that he did, including finance and investment.  From the age of seventeen, he worked seasonally for a pool company doing installations and maintenance.  He also worked in demolition and construction for five years, before starting out on his own two years ago.  Filip helped renovate both his parents home and the home of his fiancé’s parents.  Filip, was the owner and operator of Stealth Pool Installations in Clark, New Jersey.

In addition to his parents, Filip is survived by his brother, Eryk Babiuk; fraternal grandparents Zofia and Andrzej Babiuk; his maternal grandparents, Celina and Bronislaw Komorek; his uncles, Gerard Babiuk, Andrzej Komorek and his wife, Edyta; his aunt, Ewa Salvador and her husband, Jose and   the love of his life, his fiancé, Magdalena Ulaszek.  Magda and Filip have been together for nine years and Filip proposed to Magda on April 30, 2019 on a sailboat in Mexico, because he wanted to make it a very special & momentous occasion.  Magda’s parent also mourn the loss of Filip, who they loved like a son.
