Billie, as she was affectionately called, was the daughter of the late Ada Bell Craft Adams and the late William Adams. She was born in Huntington, West Virginia and lived in Denville, New Jersey for ten years before settling in Toms River, New Jersey twenty-three years ago.
Billie worked as a secretary for the Board of Education in Boonton, New Jersey for fifteen years prior to her retirement in 1996. Previously she was employed for a number of years in the same capacity for the Schering-Plough Pharmaceutical Company.
Billie was a former member of the Church of God in Toms River, New Jersey. Her faith and her love of music led her to be an organist for many other churches throughout the years. Billie also loved shopping of any kind, as long as she could get out of the house, into the car & enjoy her time at the mall.
Billie had great heartache in her life, as she was predeceased by her cherished husband, who was truly her soulmate, Marshall “Mike” Sayre; her two daughters, Sherry Lynn Woods and Sheila J. Watson; her grandson, Daniel L. Watson and her former husband, William Watson.
Billie is survived by the loves of her life that brought joy to her heart and a smile to her lips- her seven grandchildren; Lisa David and her husband, Joe, Rachel FitzGerald and her husband, Shawn, Kendra Sweeney, Nathan Woods and his wife, Gloria, Jessica Wynne and her husband, Michael, Erin Samantha Watson and her husband, Robert McGarry and Beth Zimmerman and her eighteen adored great grandchildren.
