Anastasia “Stacie” O’Keefe Novalany

Mrs. Anastasia “Stacie” O’Keefe Novalany, 92, died Friday, April 6, 2018 in the St. Clair’s Hospital Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover, New Jersey.

Visitation will take place in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle St., Linden, on Tuesday, April 10^th. from 4:00 – 7:00PM.  On Wednesday, April 11^th. at 8:15AM, family and friends are asked to gather in the funeral home where a prayer service will be held at 8:45AM, followed by the funeral mass to be offered in St. Hedwig’s R.C. Church in Elizabeth at 10:00AM.  Burial will take place in the family plot in St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.

Mrs. Novalany, the daughter of the late Margaret Fleming O’Keefe and the late Michael O’Keefe, was born in Essington, Pennsylvania.  She came to Linden, New Jersey in 1944, when she was nineteen years old and has resided in Linden ever since. 

Mrs. Novalany was a communicant of the St. Theresa R.C. Church in Linden and was a past member of the St. Theresa’s P.T.A., as well as a class mother.  Mrs. Novalany was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Linden Knights of Columbus, Council #2859 in Linden.

Mrs. Novalany was predeceased by her husband, Stanley R. Novalany on May 28, 2008 and her three siblings, Martin O’Keefe, William O’Keefe and Maryellen O’Keefe.

Mrs. Novalany is survived by her five daughters, Patricia Withka, Eleanor Novalany, Christine Lospinoso, Maureen Shinn and Stacie Lospinoso; her sister, Katie Laub; her eleven grandchildren and her twelve great grandchildren.
