Alicia Ann Gaydos

Ms. Alicia Ann Gaydos, 52, unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2018.

Visitation will take place in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle St., Linden, on Sunday, February 18th., from 2:00 – 6:00PM.  On Monday, February 19th. at 8:15AM, family and friends are asked to gather in the funeral home where a prayer service will be held at 8:45AM, followed by the funeral mass to be offered in St. Theresa R.C. Church, Linden at 10:00AM.  Entombment will take place in the family crypt in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Linden. In lieu of flowers, donations, in Alicia’s name, can be made to a favorite charity of your choice.

Alicia, the adored daughter of Barbara Castelli Gaydos and Andrew “Andy” A. Gaydos, Sr., was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on July 5, 1965.  Alicia lived in Linden, New Jersey for many years before moving to Warminster, Pennsylvania.

Alicia is a 1983 graduate of the Union Catholic Regional High School in Scotch Plains, New Jersey, where she attended on a four year scholarship.  In 1987, Alicia received a Bachelor of Science degree in Metalurgical and Materials Science Engineering from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.  She worked for several engineering companies over the years and traveled throughout the United States and Southeast Asia for her position.

Alicia then decided to change her life course and was accepted at the Seward Johnson Atelier School for Sculpture and Art and she was awarded a certificate for her accomplishments.  Alicia’s finished sculpture work was shown at a number of galleries in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  For the past several years, Alicia has been an interior designer of kitchens and baths, working for various companies in the local Warminster, Pennsylvania and Princeton, New Jersey area.

Alicia was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Mary Jasinski Castelli and Paul Castelli of Ridgefield Park, New Jersey; her paternal grandparent, Rose and Andrew Gaydos; her cherished aunts, Florence Castelli Ronchetti, who was also her godmother, and Lucille Castelli Quinn; her dear uncles, John J. Gaydos and James J. Gaydos and her devoted partner of many years, Charles “Chuck” Jeck, MD.

In addition to her parents, Alicia is survived by her beloved brother, Andrew “Drew” A. Gaydos II; her precious nephew, Zachary A. Gaydos and his mother, Monika Zareba; her two loving uncles, Thomas P. Castelli and Michael P. Castelli, both of Tampa, Florida and many cousins and friends.
