There will be a prayer service conducted by Reverend Jozef Krajnak at 9:30AM in the funeral home. Following the conclusion of the visitation the funeral mass will be offered in St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Roman Catholic Church in Linden at 12:00 Noon. The prayers of committal will precede Stephen’s burial in the family plot in St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, New Jersey.
Stephen, the son of the late Jean P. Mazurkiewicz Mizejewski (2021) and the late Stephen R. Mizejewski, Sr. (2005), was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He lived in Cranford until 1993 when Stephen moved with his family to Linden. In 2007, he then relocated to East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania where Stephen lived until 2016 when he returned to Westfield, New Jersey. In 2019, Stephen finally settled down in Clark, New Jersey.
Stephen was a graduate of Seton Hall University in South Orange earning a degree in Psychology. He was a member of the Phi Kappa Sigma Fraternity while attending college. In the 1990’s Stephen worked as a mental health technician for both the Chapter Behavior Health in Summit and the Princeton House in Princeton,
In his spare time, Stephen enjoyed the world of travel, visiting countries in Europe, and exploring places like Alaska and Mexico. He was a big fan of college and professional sports - always enjoying the fields of soccer, football, especially Penn State and baseball - the NY Yankees. When Stephen resided in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, he was an active member of their local Knights of Columbus organization. Stephen was an extremely devout Catholic and he was deeply immersed in his religion. His family, small as it is, was the most important part of Stephen’s existence. There was nothing in the whole wide world that meant more to him than the love of his family. Stephen was still deeply saddened by the loss of his mom, Jean in 2021.
Stephen is survived by his sister, Stephanie J. Mizejewski, his aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbors, and friends.
Stephen left his imprint on the world around him, as he thoroughly enjoyed his family and his life.
He will be greatly missed, but Stephen will always be remembered. May he have eternal rest.
