Miroslaw Tusznio

Mr. Miroslaw Tusznio, 94, entered the arms of the Lord, guided by His heavenly angels on Tuesday, April 16, 2024.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Saturday, April 20th. from 10:00-10:30AM.  We will then form the traditional funeral procession to go to St. Gertrude’s Cemetery in Colonia where the prayers of committal will be offered at 11:15AM prior to Miroslaw’s entombment in the family crypt.

Miroslaw, the son of the late Marianna Sojkiewicz Tusznio and the late Marian Tusznio, was born in Suchedniow, Poland.  He came to the United Stated in 1960, residing in Linden, New Jersey before settling in in Avenel, New Jersey in February of 2006.

Miroslaw was employed as a machinist for Jason Metal Company in Rahway for many years until he retired in 1995.

He was a very hard worker and a great provider for his family.  Miroslaw was also very devoted to his church, especially attending the masses in the Polish language.  He was not a club joiner, but preferred to be with his wife, enjoying the comforts of his own home and fixing things up around the house.  In truth, Miroslaw was a very simple man.

He was predeceased by his two stepsons, Joseph Skuriat (2016) and Walter Skuriat (2021) and his three siblings, Lech Tusznio, Waclaw Tusznio and Ewa Galczynska.

Miroslaw is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Wanda Piotrowska Tusznio; his stepson, Kazimierz “Charlie” Skuriat and his four grandchildren.

Miroslaw was a kind, loving and generous man to family and friends alike.  He was quiet in nature and never put on airs.  He always had a smile and a nod of the head when greeting people.  Miroslaw will be missed, but he will never be forgotten.  May he rest in eternal peace!
