Les, the son of the late Rose A. Wojewodka Loneker and the late Robert A. Loneker, Sr. was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey and he was proud to be a lifelong resident.

He had a twenty-year career as a press operator, working for various companies including Arko Paper Products Co. Inc. in Piscataway, New Jersey before an illness brought on his early retirement in 2003.

Les, as most of his family and friends knew, was a real “party” guy and he found many ways to celebrate that side of him.  He enjoyed the Jersey shore, especially the Belmar scene in his earlier years and later with trips to Atlantic City to try his luck at the casinos.  Technology and any kind of techno gadget always piqued his interest - Les even liked to play video games!  He enjoyed taking pictures of everyone & everything – so much so that Les was the official picture taker that everyone jokingly said, was never in any of the pictures.  Les enjoyed going to the track, playing the ponies & he hoped for a winning ticket, especially on the win, place or show bets!  Music was also a big part of his life, and he might have been “a little bit country’, but he was definitely a classic rock & roller who even tuned into the oldies for a change of pace.  Still with all these interests, truly the most important part of Les’ life was his family.  Every minute spent with them, whether a big holiday celebration or just sitting around the kitchen table telling stories, brought him immense joy and when the grandchildren were there – well Les was just so happy, really beyond words!

He was predeceased by his four siblings, Robert Loneker, Jr., Edward Loneker, Kathleen Pereira and Raymond Loneker.

Les is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Barbara Rotola Loneker; his two children, Christopher Loneker and his wife, Lauren and Megan Loneker and her husband, Tyler Lyle; his four grandchildren, Logan Loneker, Chloe Loneker, Roxanne Loneker and Nicole Loneker; his brother, Ronald Loneker; his sister, Gail Hickey and his numerous nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.

Les was the center of life for his family, and he had an abundance of love for everyone in his circle.  He will be deeply missed, but Les will never be forgotten.
