Theresa C. Lapka Borowski

Mrs. Theresa C. Lapka Borowski, 88, died Wednesday, April 18, 2018, in her home surrounded by the love and prayers of her family.

Visitation will take place in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle St., Linden, on Sunday, April 22^nd. from 2:00 – 6:00PM.  On Monday, April 23^rd. at 8:15AM., family and friends are asked to gather in the funeral home where a prayer service will be held at 8:45AM, followed by the funeral mass to be offered in St. Hedwig’s R.C. Church, Elizabeth at 10:00AM.  Burial will take place in the family plot in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Linden. Mrs. Borowski, the daughter of the late Rose and the late Andrew Lapka, was born in Whites Crossing, Pennsylvania.  She resided there until moving to Elizabeth, New Jersey, where she spent ten years before settling in Linden, New Jersey during the 1960’s.

Mrs. Borowski was a devoted member of the St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Roman Catholic Church in Linden.

Predeceased by her husband, Stanley Borowski on September 25, 2011, Mrs. Borowski is survived by her three children, Stanley K. Borowski and his wife Carol, Dr. Walter J. Borowski and his wife, Dr. Jolanta Maria Kibilska-Borowski and Catherine Brzezicki and her husband, Richard; her two sisters, Nellie Manarchuck and Betty Gorel; her ten grandchildren; Karl Borowski, Rachel Borowski, Lydia Borowski, Danuta Cameron, Catherine Carter, David Borowski, Maria Borowski, Stephanie Rojas, Jennifer Wagner and Theresa Brzezicki and her four great grandchildren, Cecilia Carter, Maximillian Carter, John Buzzell and Catherine Cameron.
