Stanislaw “Stanley” Wolniak
Mr. Stanislaw “Stanley” Wolniak, 102, of Linden, New Jersey died Friday, January 20, 2017 with his loving wife at his bedside.
Visitation will take place in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle St., Linden, on Sunday, January 22nd. from 1:00 – 4:00PM. On Monday, January 23rd. at 8:30AM, family and friends are ask to gather in the funeral home where a prayer service will be held at 9:00AM, followed by the funeral mass to be offered in St. Theresa R.C. Church, Linden at 10:00AM. The prayers of committal and the burial will take place at approximately 1:15PM at the family plot in Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doylestown, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Wolniak, the son of the late Anieska Wolniak and the late Andrzej Wolniak, was born in Poland on April 12, 1914. As a young man in Poland, he served in the Polish Army and because of this distinction, Mr. Wolniak will be buried in the exclusive Veterans Section in Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Wolniak came to the United States in 1950 and lived in Newark, New Jersey before settling in Linden, New Jersey in 1966.
He was a valve operator for a resin manufacturer for many years before he retired in 1984.
Predeceased by his step-on, Zenon Lapinski in 2015, Mr. Wolniak is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Helena Sulek Wolniak and his sisters and brothers, Maria, Zofia, Jozef and Czeslaw in Poland.
