Private services were held for Mr. Pawel K. Stanek, 51, who died Saturday, June 3, 2017 in the Haven Hospice of the John F. Kennedy Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey.  The burial of Mr. Stanek’s cremains in the family plot in Poland, will take place at a future date.

Born in Poland, Mr. Stanek came to the United States in 1984.  He lived in Elizabeth, New Jersey for a time and then moved to Linden, New Jersey, where he resided for many years before relocating to Avenel, New Jersey two years ago.

For the past three years, Mr. Stanek worked in the housekeeping and maintenance departments for both the Hollywood Motel and the Americana Motel, both in Avenel, New Jersey.  Prior to that, Mr. Stanek worked in the construction industry.

Predeceased y his wife, Krystyna Stanek, Mr. Stanek is survived by his mother and father, Anna Ciechanowska Stanek and Henry Stanek; his twin brother, Piotr Stanek and his two step-sisters, Magda and Isabela.
