Mrs. Margaret “Marge” C. Korszoloski Materna, 76, died Sunday, March 12, 2017 in her home surrounded by her family.

Visitation will take place in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle St., Linden, on Friday, March 17^th. from 5:30 – 8:30PM.  On Saturday, March 18^th. at 8:30AM, family and friends are ask to gather in the funeral home where a prayer service will be held at 9:00AM, followed by the funeral mass to be offered in St. Theresa R.C. Church, Linden at 10:00AM.  Burial will take place in the family plot in St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.

Mrs. Materna, the daughter of the late Carmella D. Krakowski Korszoloski and the late Frank A. Korszoloski was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey and lived her entire life in Linden, New Jersey.

After graduating high school, Mrs. Materna furthered her education and became a licensed hair dresser.  She worked for many years in various salons in the area, including Whair It’s At in Cranford, New Jersey. 

Additionally, Mrs. Materna, along with her husband, was also the co-owner and co-operator of Tom-Lor Liquors in Elizabeth, New Jersey from 1977 to 1997.

Even with her busy schedule, the center of Mrs. Materna’s world was always her husband and her family.  She doted on them, especially her seven grandsons.  Her weekly Sunday tradition would include the gathering of the family in her Linden home, where they would all share and thoroughly enjoy her home cooked dinner.

Mrs. Materna is survived by her husband of fifty-four years, Thomas E. Materna; her two daughters, Karen Musialowicz and her husband, Arthur and Kim Schreck and her husband, Andy; her brother, Frank A. Korszoloski III and her seven grandsons, Drew Schreck, Kyle Musialowicz, Brett Musialowicz, Matthew Schreck, Justin Musialowicz, Jake Schreck and Dean Musialowicz.
