Mr. Hector Manuel Rivera, 71, died Wednesday, October 19, 2016 in Katy, Texas.

Visitation will take place in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle St., Linden, on Friday, October 28^th. from 5:00 – 8:00PM and Saturday, October 29^th. from 10:00AM  - 12:00 Noon.  A wake service will be offered in the Kowalski Funeral Home on Friday at 7:15PM.  On Saturday, following the visitation, a grave side service will be conducted at 1:00PM at the family plot in Rosehill Cemetery, Linden, New Jersey, followed by the burial.

Mr. Rivera, the son of the late Maria Rivera Ortiz and the late Roman Rivera, was born on March 10, 1945 in Coamo, Puerto Rico.

Mr. Rivera was very artistic and his talents inspired his joy of drawing.

Predeceased by his brother, Pedro Ortiz, Mr. Rivera is survived by his brother Israel Ortiz; his sisters, Luz Rivera, Iris M. Rivera, Sonia Borges and Magdalena Gonzalez; a host of nephews and nieces as well as other loving family members and friends.
