Dear Nancy & family,

I was sorry to read about Gene’s passing. I bless you with the comfort, peace and strength that only God can give… now, and in the days to come. We grew up in the same neighborhood in North Platte, and attended Buffalo Elementary, Madison Jr. High, and NP Senior High together. Gene was one of the 'good' guys... so not a surprise that he is a veteran and a policeman.

I know the family has lost a very good, honest, and strong family man, but this world has lost him also. Everything he did, he gave 100% of himself. Gene was a very reliable friend. SLEEP WELL MY FRIEND.

Gene and I graduated together with the Class of '68 at NPHS, He lived across the street from my family with his aunt and uncle Sharon and Jerry Hollen. I will always remember the times Jerry let me take and drive Gene's MG, much to Gene's dismay!!

Gene was a classmate of mine at Madison Junior High and North Platte High, We played chess together and ran track. It saddened my dat to hear of his passing. I was happy that he found me on facebook and that we had time to enjoy old memories and catch up on each others lives. Hs family should be very proud of who he was and what he accomplished.
