Miss Eleanor T. Messinger, 59, died Sunday, January 21, 2018 in her home, surrounded by love.

Visitation will take place in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle St., Linden, on Thursday, January 25^th. from 4:00 – 8:00PM.  On Friday, January 26^th. at 8:45AM, family and friends are asked to gather directly at St. Theresa R.C. Church, Linden, where a funeral mass will be offered at 9:00AM, followed by the burial in the family plot in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Linden.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Eleanor’s memory can be made to the Center for Hope Hospice, 1900 Raritan Road, Scotch Plains, New Jersey 07076.

Eleanor, the daughter of the late Nellie Olko Messinger and the late Joseph N. Messinger, was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey.  She resided in Linden, New Jersey for fifty-six years before moving to New Providence, New Jersey in 2013.

Eleanor was a cafeteria worker for the Occupational Center of Union County in Roselle, New Jersey for thirty-one years until her retirement in 2013.

Her great passion was being a member of the Linden Recreation Bowlers for over twenty years.

Eleanor is survived by her sister, Nancy L. Rosivack and her husband, R. Glenn; her brother, Joseph M. Messinger and his wife, Patricia; her three nieces, Danielle Corpuz, Christina Rosivack and Jenifer Manzione; her two nephews, Joseph Messinger and David Messinger and her 8 great nieces and great nephews.
