Edward Stefan Stachowicz

Mr. Edward Stefan Stachowicz, 68, died Saturday, June 10, 2017 in the VA New Jersey Health Care Systems, also known as the VA Hospital at Lyons, New Jersey.

On Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 10:45AM, family and friends are asked to gather directly at the family plot in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Linden.  The prayers of committal will be offered at 11:00AM by Reverend Krzysztof Szczotka from St. Adalbert R.C. Church in Elizabeth, followed by the interment.

Edward Stefan Stachowicz, the son of the late Stella Pyra Stachowicz and the late Andrew Stachowicz was born in Linden, New Jersey.  He resided in Linden for over twenty years, followed by residences in a few other cities before settling in Scotch Plains, fifteen years ago.

Mr. Stachowicz was a veteran of the Viet Nam War and he was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army with a 100% disability.

He was predeceased by his two brothers, the late Henry Stachowicz and the late Adam Stachowicz.

Mr. Stachowicz is survived by his sister, Charlotte S. Orren and her husband, Glenn; his nephew, Paul Stachowicz; his three nieces, Christine Guglielmo, Pamela Clarke and Linda Orren; his two great nephews, Michael Guglielmo and Zachary Elliott and his four great nieces, Ashley Guglielmo, Sydney Clarke, Maya Clarke and Katelyn Elliott.
