Ms. Doris G. Fischer Volpe, 86, died Thursday, July 21, 2016, in the Cranford Park Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Cranford, New Jersey.

Visitation will take place in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle St., Linden, on Monday, July 25^th. from 10:00 – 11:00AM.  A prayer service will be held in the funeral home at 11:00AM followed by the prayers of committal and the burial in the family plot in St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, New Jersey.

Ms. Volpe was the daughter of the late Mae G. Fagan Fischer and the late Jerome A. Fischer.  She was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey and she lived in Roselle, New Jersey from 1987 to 1993.  Ms. Volpe then moved to Cranford, New Jersey, where she has resided for the past twenty-three years.

She was employed in the cleaning service industry, working for various employers in both private homes and commercial establishments, such as hotels, for thirty years before retiring in 1988.

Mrs. Volpe is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mark R. and Beth Volpe; her sister, Marie Ellsworth and her husband, Robert and her two grandchildren, Zachary Volpe and his wife, Teresa and Valerie Crist and her husband, Todd.
