Mr. Bruno S. Marczewski, 96, died Monday, January 30, 2017 in his home in Toms River, New Jersey, surrounded by his family.

Visitation will take place in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle St., Linden, on Thursday, February 2nd. from 3:00 – 7:00PM.  On Friday, February 3rd., at 9:30AM, family and friends are asked to gather in the Kowalski Funeral Home where a funeral service will be offered at 10:00AM., followed by the entombment in the family crypt in Rosedale Cemetery in Linden, New Jersey.

Mr. Marczewski, the son of the late Helen Budnie Marczewski and the late Stanley Marczewski, was born in Utica, Michigan.  He lived in Bayonne, New Jersey for seventeen years before moving to Roselle, New Jersey, where he lived from 1958 to 1997.  In 1997, Mr. Marczewski decided to establish roots in the Berkeley Township section of Toms River, New Jersey, where he has resided for twenty years.

Mr. Marczewski was a sheet metal worker, spending fifty years in this field, working for various companies, before his retirement in 1985.  Simultaneously, his love of photography led him to open Bruno’s Studio in Roselle Park, New Jersey, which he operated from 1959 to 1996

Mr. Maczewski was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy.

He was a member of both the Linden Moose Lodge #913 and the volunteer ambulance/rescue squad in Berkeley Township/Toms River for many years.

Predeceased by his wife, Catherine Herrick Marczewski in 1988, Mr. Marczewski is survived by his daughter, Dolores Urbanowicz; his son, Michael Marczewski; his sister, Stella Egan; his five grandchildren, Michelle Elias and her husband, Roshon, Adrienne Gawron and her husband, Thomas, Danielle Small and her husband, Perry, Robinjill Kozaczka and Michael Marczewski Jr.; his twelve great grandchildren, Melissa Potter, Tina Potter, Kristin Small, Perry Small Jr., Jennifer Basko, Valerie Basko, Madison Small, Alexis Elias, Alexandra Gawron, Alexandria Small, Mackenzie Elias and Mason Kozaczka and his six great great grandchildren, Heaven Joseph, Jayden Redd, Joell Small, Braydon Redd, Jizelle Potter and Brielle Mejias.
