Mr. Bernard J. Sadowski, 69, died unexpectedly Monday, July 10, 2017 in his Cranford home.
Visitation will take place in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle St., Linden, on Sunday, July 16th. from 2:00 – 5:00PM. The cremation in Rosehill Crematory in Linden and the burial of his cremains in the family plot in Rosedale Cemetery in Linden, will be private for the family only.
Mr. Sadowski, the son of the late Elizabeth Javick Sadowski and the late John S. Sadowski, was born and raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He settled in Cranford, New Jersey in 1972.
Mr. Sadowski worked as a packaging line mechanic for Bristol Meyers in Hillside for eighteen years. He then started working for L’Oreal in Clark, where he was the Head of Maintenance for twenty-eight years. In 2012, Mr. Sadowski started working as a handyman for Cranford Township, a job he still holds today.
Mr. Sadowski was a member of the U.S. and N.J Army National Guard, serving six years from 1969 to 1975.
His varied interests run the gammit from collecting and operating model trains to collecting coins.
Predeceased by his wife, Gertrude “Trudy” M. Bozza Sadowski on October 9, 2004, Mr. Sadowski is survived by his two sons, Brian T. Sadowski and Steven E. Sadowski; his grandson, Liam John Sadowski; his brother, Gregory Sadowski; his sister Marion Sadowski and his companion Linda Bianco.
